Privacy Policy
GetOpened ("we," "us") runs getopened.co, a free email report and related email marketing products for small businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to jeff@getopened.co.
The email report
The email report runs entirely in your browser. The sender name, subject line and email body you paste are analyzed on your device and are not sent to us or stored by us.
Information we collect
- If you ask for your report by email: your email address, your score, and the list of issues the report found. We use these to send your report and our emails.
- If you buy a product: purchases are handled by Gumroad. Gumroad collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email and order details, but never your full payment information.
- Basic site data: our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to run and secure the site.
How we use it
- To send the report you asked for, and a short series of follow-up emails with email marketing tips.
- To send our newsletter and, occasionally, information about our products.
- To deliver products you buy and to answer your questions.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Use it at any time, or email jeff@getopened.co and we'll remove you.
Services we use
We rely on a few providers to run GetOpened, and they process data on our behalf: MailerLite (email delivery and subscriber lists), Gumroad (sales and file delivery) and Netlify (website hosting). Each has its own privacy policy and security practices.
Cookies
Our pages don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Our providers, such as Gumroad at checkout, may use cookies needed to run their services.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address and report details for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our active lists, except where we need to keep records of a purchase.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing jeff@getopened.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor requests as the law requires.
Children
GetOpened is for business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
